Séjour à l'étranger : Preparation and observation of corss-sectionnal view by Transmission Electron Microscopy (University of Salford, United Kingdom, 2009)

Cross-sectional TEM view was required to observe the buried carbon nitride compounds obtained by carbon and nitrogen implantation within copper matrix. This was carried out using a double-beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB) system consisting of a JEOL 5910 SEM coupled to a Orsay Physics ion column.

The observations were performed uising a Hitachi H-9000 microscope working at 300 kV.

Activités avec simple participation

Conférence : E-MRS ICAM IUMRS 2011 Spring Meeting (Nice, Congress Center, France, 2011)
Conférence : European CSM Instruments Users'Meeting 2010 (Chexbres, Switzerland, 2010)
Formation : Instrumented Indentation Testing Course 2010 (Peseux, Switzerland, 2010)
Conférence : European Conference on Nano Films (ECNF 2010) (Liège, Belgium, 2010)
Formation : EMAT Winter Workshop on Transmission Electron Microscopy 2007 (Universiteit Antwerpen, 2007)

The workshop provides a state-of-the-art training in Transmission Electron Microscopy at the highest level. Lectures will be given by staff members of the EMAT research group and special topics are covered by guest lectures. The main focus of the workshop is to provide practical experience with a broad range of TEM instruments. New from this year is that we offer the choice between 2 different modules,"High Resolution TEM" or "TEM Spectroscopy", preceded by a satellite workshop on "Basic TEM".

Conférence : Belgian Physical Society - General Scientific Meeting 2004 (Mons, Université de Mons-Hainaut, 2004)
Formation : X International Summer School Nicolas Cabrera on "New Trends in ion beam physics and applications : a road to nanotechnologies" (Madrid, Espagne, 2003)
