DYSCO

The support of FRS-FNRS and IAP VI / 4 DYSCO is gratefully acknowledged.

The workshop will take place in the room E2, located on the second floor of the building of the faculty of economic sciences at the university of Namur, Rempart de la Vierge, 8, Namur.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together scientists who are all studying distributed parameter systems, but from different points of view and possessing different types of expertise. In this way, we hope to make scientists aware of new developments in this fast expanding field of research and to promote cross-fertilization of ideas across artificial boundaries.

The program includes a Special Session, which will be organized as a tribute to Frank Callier.
This session will take place on Tuesday 24 July, in the afternoon.

Historical Background :

This workshop is the fifth meeting of a series started in 1998 (Modelling and control of infinite-dimensional systems, Leeds, UK, September 2nd - 11th, 1998).
The three other meetings were organised in 2001 (Workshop on Pluralism in Distributed Parameter Systems, University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands, July 2nd - 6th, 2001), 2003 (International Workshop on Infinite-Dimensional Dynamical Systems, University of Exeter, UK, July 14th - 18th, 2003), and 2005 (International Workshop on Control of Infinite-Dimensional Systems, University of Waterloo, Canada, July 25th - 29th, 2005) respectively.
