The present invention relates to an enzyme with xylanase activity at
acidic pH identified by its amino acid and nucleotide sequence and
variants thereof.
The present invention relates also to their uses in the pulp and paper
industries and in the agrofood.
Xylanase, acidic pH, enzymatic activity, agrofood, paper
In order to prevent noxious environmental impacts, xylanases are
commonly used in transformation industrial processes such as pulp
bleaching . For that purpose, new enzymes with xylanase activity,
especially at acidic pH, are needed. It can be used in all processes
involving plant material or waste materials, e.g. from paper production
or agricultural wastes such as wheat straw, corn cobs, nut shells,
grass, vegetable hulls, spent grains and sugar beet.
