Project

HYGROCHROM (HYGROCHROM)

Duration

2008-2012

Keywords

Hygrochromic materials

Description

The HGCM project, which is supported by the Walloon Region in the frame of the WINNOMAT2 programme, aims to develop a new type of coatings for smart glass windows. These coatings are made of novel hygrochromic materials and are used to change, either passively or actively, the transmission of light through the glass windows on which they are deposited. The project is coordinated by the Laboratoire de Physique du Solide (FUNDP) and carried on in collaboration with the Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie des Matériaux Divisés (UCL) and the Centre de Recherche en Modélisation Moléculaire (UMH).
