thesis
Unbreakable solid-phase microextraction metalic Fibers (SPME-GC)
Duration
2005-2009
Keywords
SPME, GC, stainless steel, polymer, ATRP, XPS, PM-IRRAS
Description
The goal of this project is to make an unbreakable solid-phase microextraction fiber.SPME technique is a simple and effective tool fot the analysis of organic compounds from water solutions. The commercial devices present a few drawbacks such as a relatively low operating temperature, their instability and sweeling in organic solvents, the breakage of the fiber.SO more robust fibers are highly desired. In the present work, the polymer phase is linked by covalent bonding to stainless steel fibers.
