Exchange students 2012-2013

You have the intention to study one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student at the FUNDP ?

If you want to follow courses, it is necessary to make sure at first that your university has a  Bilateral Exchange Agreement  with the FUNDP.

First of all your home institution has to send us (see address below)  a nomination letter to  confirme your selection before April 30, 2012 for the first semester or the full academic year and October 15, 2012 for the second semester.

This nomination must be duly completed with your lastname, firstname, date of birth, your correct e-mail address and the level of the studies (bachelor/master) for wich you applicate.

The EU or non-EU students have to send us the following documents for an academic stay (courses) or an intership, minimum 3 months:

 

 

  • Our specific on line application form, a duly signed by you and your academic co-ordinator in your university.
  •  A learning agreement including the list of courses that you have choiced to follow at the University of Namur, including their code and their credits ; this learning agreement has to be duly signed by you and your academic co-ordinator in your university. If you are coming for an internship you have to complete the ERASMUS training agreement from your university.
  • If your internship is not an ERASMUS one, please complete our training agreement.  
  • A copy first side-reversed of your ID European card or, if necessary, of your passport.
  • One passport photo.
  • A certificate giving evidence of your registration in your university of origin for the academic year 2011-2012.
  • For all the non-native French speaking students having a learning agreement with one or more courses taught in French, a certificate produces by their home institution or another training institution attesting that their level of French is good enough (at least B1 on the Common Europoean Framework of Reference for languages - CECR) to participate in various academic activities.
  • Health Insurance : For EU students, a copy of the European Health Insurance Card and for Non-EU students, when you arrive in Belgium, a copy of your application for health insurance at a "mutuelle".
  • A document from your University attesting that you are covered by her own civil liability and physical accidents Insurance during your university activities.
  • A copy af an hospitalization and repartriation Insurance taken for the duration fo your stay in Belgium.

These documents constituting your request of admission at the University of Namur, have to be returned by post in a single sending :

  • Prior to May 15, 2012 for a registration for the first semester or the full academic year to Jacqueline MOINEAU, Coordinateur Institutionnel, Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix, Service mobilité internationale - rue de Bruxelles, 61-  B- 5000 – Namur.
  • Prior November 15, 2012  at the same address for a registration for the second semester.

Faxed, digitals and electronics sending items can NOT be accepted.  Any non duly completed file will be refused and the student will be advice personnaly.

No extension for the second semester will be accepted after November 15, 2012.

Any student who happens to Namur as an Exchange student must having previously passed all his exams in his home university. No review of the home university will be held in Namur.
