The pole has an interest in the support of a medical diagnosis by way of computer and multimedia techniques meant to put a patient-related information set at physicians' disposal in a secure way.

The study of the following aspects is required:

more secure transmissions,

data compression,

distributed data bases,

pictures processing in particular the coregistration pictures from different medical platforms,

temporal and synchronisation aspects in the presentation of multimedia documents.
