Technology Assessment Research Unit

CITA, Cellule Interdisciplinaire de Technology Assessment, created in 1988, is a university research centre specialised in the assessment of new technologies and more specially, of information and communication technologies (ICT).

CITA research concerns 5 main axis:

• Technology Assessment in general;
• Uses analysis in a social shaping perspective;
• Organisational analysis: faisibility study, impact study;
• Technology policy: innovation policy, information society policy;
• Ethics of computing: ethic codes, uses self-regulation; child pornography on the Internet
